Greetings, Adventurer. You're seeking something a little more interesting, aren't you? Use your imagination and go in search of a legend, something lost in the history of current times. Go ahead, read on The hardest part may be getting there.
WONDER WOMAN: FORGOTTEN LEGENDS
After all, this is only a fragment of a dim legend, lost to the passage of time. But, I'll help you as much as I can. The spot you seek is located on top of a mountain in state game lands. You might try walking this unmaintained road until, at a bend in the road, you reach a spot where the mountain to the East is deeply cloven by a stream that runs only when it rains.
You might find a forgotten path up through this cleft and to the North, but these old ways are lost, and you'll need to use your good senses to reach, and return from, the mountain top. This book is not yet featured on Listopia.

What if your nightmares became reality and you found yourself a servant to Death? Iris Borden is tough, as she has to be in her profession as a private investigator. Challenges are not new to her, danger; well, she has seen her share. Little did she know the morning she opened her door to a delivery service that life as she knew it would cease to exist. Maybe it was the tank with the huge b What if your nightmares became reality and you found yourself a servant to Death? Maybe it was the tank with the huge black snake, maybe it was the client, himself…whatever it was, maybe Iris should have just said no, or could she?
When called to a police crime scene, Iris spots a dark shadow in the shape of a man and her world goes from zero to bizarre in a heartbeat when the murder victim tells her the story of his death! Shortly after, she has an actual meeting with Death, who tells her she is now a Soul Collector, and to say the story really gets twisted from there would be an immense understatement! Has she fallen down the rabbit hole?
Iris steers us on this journey with her constant internal banter, external banter and rock hard attitude that is filled to over-flowing with snark. Tired of the paint by the numbers dark fantasies? Enjoy a little coloring outside the lines of genre fiction? Like your heroines tougher than nails, resilient as heck with a streak of rebelliousness? Want something that will NOT allow your mind to wander?

This was a great read! The character of Iris is strong and down to earth, despite all the crazy things going on around her. I loved how the Norse myths were tied into the characters, though I think I need to go brush up on my mythology! I caught a few hints and details throughout that tied to the myths, and with a bit more study and review I am sure I will notice even more! Sep 26, CoffeeTimeRomance andMore rated it it was ok.
Trouble seems to follow Iris wherever she goes. Even when she simply tries to mind her own business and do her job, she is swept up into problems. When she meets Kaul under unusual circumstances, she is drawn to him, although she knows he is trouble. Plus, he seems to know things about her that she does not know about herself. There is more to Kaul Fonliesy than meets the eye.
He knows his destiny and Iris? Even though he becomes part of Iris? Becaus Trouble seems to follow Iris wherever she goes. Because he cannot afford to tell her the truth. Iris Borden is a good Private Investigator.

Through her work, she has gained many friends she can trust. But now she has a new job that makes her indestructible. She is a soul collector for Death, and he does not approve of her divided interests. She keeps her secret as long as she can.
With fate playing a game with her life, it will not be long before her secrets are out and her destiny meets her face to face. The story integrates Greek Folklore with a modern day setting. It is apparent that the author is knowledgeable about both Greek Mythology and the inner workings of being a Private Investigator. There is an abundance of new and unique characters popping up throughout the story. It has a unique new spin on some legendary characters and a suitable ending.
It is fast-paced to the point of feeling rushed in places. Also, there are some relationships within the story that feel as if the characters are close to the heroine for a long time though they do not show up nor are they mentioned until later chapters. It jars the reader, causing them to page back through the book for any hint of a previous encounter. Although the story often zips from one action scene to an entirely new one, the last half of the book smoothes out.
It also answers some of the questions dangling from the beginning.
